Members of the Chinese community joined Timaru Branch members on 10 February 2013 to celebrate the commencement of the Year of the Snake. Over 70 people attended the Banquet at the Golden Palace Restaurant.
The Banquet is held annually and this year’s was rated the best yet. We were privileged to have Mr Xu Zhijie, Culture Consul, Consulate General Peoples Republic of China, Christchurch in attendance. He is pictured below with Rev Jim Hunter, President, Timaru Branch.
