Liam Dann, NZ Herald business editor, recently won the inaugural New Zealand China Media Awards which means he will travel yet again to China to report on the country’s financial system.  The Awards (sponsored by the NZ China Council) recognise and encourage excellence in reporting on the NZ/China relationship thereby increasing the understanding of China among the general public.

Liam Dann was a member of an NZCFS Simon Deng Li Funded ‘media’ tour for six journalists to experience China and its work operations in 2013.  Liam reported later, ”The visit achieved its primary object of increasing my insight into Chinese culture and its economy as well as official policy.   All these things are vital to my current role – setting the editorial tone for business coverage on China”.
