Mike Earle shared his thoughts and excellent DVD footage of the September 2010 Prominent Person’s and Society Leaders’ Tour to China. The main focus of the International Sister-Cities’ Conference in Shanghai was, ‘Better City Through Co-operation’, tying in with the World Expo theme, and delegates and keynote speakers came from all over the world.  Highlights included an exclusive visit to the iconic China Pavilion, and to other pavilions at ‘Expo’, and a night cruise on the Huang Pu River that offered glittering views of the Bund, Pudong and Shanghai.

The America-Oceania Friendship Forum held in Nanchang, Jiangxi, enabled delegates to network with Friendship Association members in our Region and Youxie provided wonderful hospitality.  Visits included seeing advanced solar power technology, a model green city and village, Mao’s villa in Lushan, and beautiful mountains, forests and lakes, and traditional potters at work in Jingdezhen.
