GREETINGS TO ALL

OUR JULY MEETING WILL BE:

DATE: Sunday 24 JULY 2011

TIME: 12:30 PM – Start time for a shared lunch

VENUE: ARTS VILLAGE (RAVE) in the

Eric Bridgman Lounge

This month our Guest Speaker is Alexis LewGor, President of the Multicultural Council.(a.k.a. Multicultural Rotorua)

Alexis has just been recognised for her contribution to the community and was presented with a Rotorua Community Leadership Award by the Mayor. The awards were held in conjunction with the Sir Peter Blake Leadership Trust. She will give a powerpoint presentation about how the Multicultural Council assists new immigrants in settling into our community. She will give us an understanding of the problems they encounter and how we might be able to assist. Alexis also is involved with the Multicultural sector of the Rotorua Chamber of Commerce which assists those in business in our community. She may be able to tell us just how many Chinese and other immigrants have chosen Rotorua as their home. It will be a very informative presentation.

It will give us an interesting insight into what is happening in our community. Be sure to note this meeting on your calendar. Bring a friend or family along with something to share for our Social Lunch before our guest speaker. Look forward to seeing you all there.
