International Cultures Day, Cornwall Park, Hastings

The Wellington Dragon Dance Group are confirmed. They performed at the spectacular Wellington Chinese New Year festivities a couple of weeks ago and will be bringing the Dragon and their Lion Dances.   Please tell your friends, family and workmates to come along and experience performances from China, Sri Lanka, Tonga and Te Aute College to name a few. Try Philippine, Indonesian, Chinese, Indian, Sri Lankan, German cakes and hangi food. Come and see us at the NZCFS stall. Get your Chinese name there if you haven’t already got one.

This event is organized by the Hawke’s Bay Branch of the NZCFS, with support from the Hastings District Council for the whole community to enjoy and learn about each others’ culture. Please note that this event replaces our March monthly meeting.

The Osmanthus Garden, in Cornwall Park, Tomoana Road, Hastings, will be lit up with lanterns from Thursday to Sunday evening this week, and is an enchanting experience.
