Introductory Mandarin Classes 2015 in Rotorua

Waiariki Institute of Technology have created new Mandarin Chinese tertiary programmes for the 2015 year. This is being made possible through an agreement with the Confucius Institute at Victoria University of Wellington and the Chinese Education Department.

Min Zhang will return to Waiariki Institute of Technology here in Rotorua to continue basic Mandarin Language classes starting on 23 February 2015.  

1.  A taste of Mandarin Chinese Language and Culture  is a ten week course (1 hour a week) learning phrases, customs and etiquette to meet your specific needs. Cost is $ 100. per student (for N.Z. residents). (day and time to be confirmed)

2.  Learn Mandarin Chinese for Everyday Use a custom designed course to suit your needs at work or in the community to help in communicating more effectively with Chinese customers, business associates or tourists. Cost is negotiable. Day and time to be arranged to suit needs.

3.  Mandarin Corner complements the Chinese Language classes being offered in the Rotorua Schools. It provides added opportunities for the Rotorua community to learn the Chinese language and culture. This is a fun programme engaging children and adults alike. This starts on 7 March 2015. It will be held every Saturday morning 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cost is towards materials used.

Min has a masters in Chinese linguistics from Nanjing University and has been teaching Chinese to non-native speakers for 6 years.
