Eric Livingstone

Eric was elected National President in May 2008. Prior to that he was National South Island Vice President for six years. He has been a member, and on the executive of the Christchurch Branch since 1986. Eric led the Prominent Persons and Leaders delegation in 2008 and the Society’s Silk Road Tour in 2000 and was deputy leader of the Society’s Footsteps of Rewi Alley Tour of China in 1997. National Vice President – North Island: Dave Bromwich

Dave Bromwich

Dave Bromwich has had active involvement in China since 1990, with almost 4 years total over 18 visits spent in China exploring different pursuits. He spent one year with his family in Napier’s sister city Lianyungang teaching English, and has travelled widely. Royden Smith

Royden's fascination with China stems from his participation in a Teachers' Tour of China back in 1977, when he was a Year One teacher at Nelson Central School, and he has been drawn back many times since. He has been a member of the Nelson Branch of NZCFS since 1993 and a member of the Nelson Branch Executive Committee since 2000 and its Treasurer since 2002. Heiko Lade

Heiko Lade was appointed the national secretary of the NZCFS at the May 2011 AGM and has also been on the executive of the Hawkes Bay branch since 2010. In 1984 he lived in Hangzhou,  where he studied acupuncture as an intern at the Red Cross TCM hospital. This was quite  pivotal for the time as he was a member of one the first foreign student groups ever allowed into China to study in a Chinese institution after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Chris Goodwin

Chris Goodwin has a background in business management with key experience in negotiation and facilitation. Chris has lived and worked in Canterbury since the 1980's and has been a Christchurch branch member since 2009 and a committee member since 2011. George Andrews

George Andrews first went to China in 2004 on a Prominent Person's Tour. He succeeded Cecil Fowler as President of the Auckland branch in 2007. Drawing on his experience as a television producer he conceived the idea of a documentary series following young Maori who spend three weeks at a Chinese school and living with Chinese families. John Hodgson

John Hodgson has primarily been involved in education, for the most part in primary but latterly in TESOL and vocational training. In 2003, after teaching for some forty years and raising a family of three sons, he and his wife went to China to teach English. They lived in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province for four years.
