Eric Livingstone Eric was elected National President in May 2008. Prior to that he was National South Island Vice President for six years. Dave Bromwich has had active involvement in China since 1990, with almost 4 years total over 18 visits spent in China exploring different pursuits. He spent one year with his family in Napier’s sister city Lianyungang teaching English, and has travelled widely. Heiko Lade

Heiko Lade was appointed the national secretary of the NZCFS at the May 2011 AGM and has been on the executive of the Hawkes Bay branch since 2010. In 1984 he lived and studied in Hangzhou, China where he was an intern at the Red Cross TCM hospital. This was quite a pivotal visit as he was part of the first foreign student groups ever allowed into China to study in a Chinese institution after founding of the People’s Republic of China. Born in Chengdu, China, in 1932, where his parents were United Church of Canada educational missionaries. Bill grew up and finished high school level there before going to Oberlin College in Ohio. He completed a BA in Sociology and then an MA in Anthropology at McGill University, Montreal, based on research on the Eskimo community at Inukjuak in Northern Quebec.
