ACUPUNCTURE

Guest Speaker:

Dr Hong Wang. He is an acupuncture practitioner. Dr Wang was born in China and graduated from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He became a full member of the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists (NZRA) in 2006. He has more than 20 years of both foreign and domestic practical experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbs. His passion is helping the local community to promote better health.

Acupuncture is one of the most commonly used complementary medical treatments in the world. Originating in China more than 2,500 years ago as an essential part of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture actually describes a collection of procedures involving stimulation of anatomical points on the body by a variety of techniques. The most common, in addition to acupuncture, are: moxibustionTui na (Chinese Massage), and cupping.

Dr Wang will share his experiences and answer our questions. A great opportunity to learn more.

TIME: Wednesday 26 April  7.30pm

PLACE: St John’s Church – seminar room. 373 Highgate, Roslyn. (Come up the driveway. Warm welcome and supper)
