Culture Galore Saturday 20 February

Culture Galore is an annual multicultural festival in Christchurch that celebrates the city’s
diversity with food, arts and crafts, music and dance performances from more than 80 cultures which call Christchurch home.

This year, as well as colourful onstage performances there were many other entertainments and activities including face painting, storytelling, a bicycle park and much more. There were 41 food stalls, which certainly made for a great choice although a bit confusing to decide what you wanted to sample!

Culture Galore has been running in the community since 2001 and has grown cumulatively each year to the stage where thousands of people now attend.
As in previous years, our branch had a tent. Thanks go to committee members who staffed this tent for the duration. Particular thanks go to Anna Lu, who once again had great fun with the children, teaching them paper cut-outs and the chopstick challenge, both of which proved to be popular.
