LAST MEETING:

Sue Padfield, a Primary teacher and member of the Education Link Group, Ingrid Meulenbrugge, Senior Teacher, Mahora Primary School, Karen Cowley, Head of Technology, and Jan Winsley, Head of Mathematics, from Hastings Girls High School, went on the Teacher’s Tour to Guilin in October, 2010.  They visited classrooms and schools at different levels, had discussions with teachers and students, tried calligraphy at the Yi family home, ate delicious food and went sightseeing.  Afterwards some travelled to Xian and Beijing and others spent time in Hong Kong.  They all experienced an enjoyable insight into another culture and educational system, that has encouraged them to review their teaching practice.
