Conference slogan “Forging our future: 初心不改,继往开来”

We’re delighted to announce that China Ambassador His Excellency Dr Wang Xiaolong will be joining us at our Conference as a keynote speaker. An updated programme for the Youth
Workshop, Conference and AGM is now available.

Speakers and youth, business and media panellists for the Conference on Saturday have now been confirmed. Ersha Island and Hundred Flowers Art Troupe will be providing entertainment and raffles and prizes have been organised. Reporters from NZ and Chinese media will be covering both the Youth Forum and the Conference. We’ve even had to move the Conference to a larger room in order to accommodate the number of people who have already registered!

The NZCFS Annual Conference & AGM registration form is still available. Note that early bird registration for the Conference ended 31 May.

THEME:  “What do friends do? Renewing and enhancing NZ China friendship in difficult times.” 作为朋友该怎么做?在困难时期重振和增进新中友谊。This follows last year’s theme: “What it means to be a friend of China”.

This year we will celebrate 70 years since the founding of the Society and 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between New Zealand and China. It is also the 125th anniversary of Rewi Alley’s birth. The Youth Forum on Friday 17th June will end with a guided tour of the Rewi Alley Commemoration Hall. There will also be ample opportunity to view the Rewi Alley Commemoration Hall during the scheduled breaks in the Conference programme on Saturday 18th June. Come and join us! Bring your friends!

Come and celebrate with us!
