On 29 July 2021, the online webinar of “China-New Zealand Friendship Envoy-in Commemoration of Kathleen Hall’s 125th Birthday” was held.
The event was jointed organized by Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the New Zealand China Friendship Society and the Chinese Bethune Spirit Research Association. People attended included Zhang Qian, Executive Vice President of Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and her colleagues，NZCFS Patron Sir David Carter and President Dave Bromwich, Alex Fraser and members from all the branches; Ma Guoqing, Honorary President of the Chinese Bethune Spirit Research Association and his colleagues; Michael Crook, Chair of Gung Ho-ICCIC and his teams; WU Shemei, Chair of Liaison Department of Shaanxi Women’s Federation and her team. We also have representatives from Taihang Mountains where Kathleen worked, and Kathleen’s great niece, Christine Ross.
Miao Fan, National Vice President Northen, chaired this webinar. The Kathleen Hall documentary that Hamilton Branch produced was played at the event.
