Next Branch Meeting
Friday 27 March 2020 at 5.45pm
Annual General Meeting
followed by
Michael Dunwoodie
speaking on the
NZCFS Delegation to China

After the Annual General Meeting, Michael will talk about the recent (Nov 2019) five person NZCFS delegation’s trip to China. The delegation spent two weeks in China being hosted by the Beijing and Shanghai Friendship (Youxie) Associations. The talk will include a look ‘behind the scenes’ to see how these sponsored trips come about, who funds them, and why; together with a tale or two of the events and activities the delegation participated in.

Michael has been involved with the Wellington branch of NZCFS for a number of years. His ties to China date back two decades to when he first worked in Shanghai, and, more recently in 2016 when he was seconded, for a year, to work at the Guangdong operations of the Auckland-based company, Methven NZ. Michael is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of NZ, and currently works at the Ministry of Justice.
