Here is your NZCFS Nelson August newsletter with details of our next branch meeting on Friday 2 September when we will be able to enjoy each other’s company, share our buffet meal and hear from three local Chinese about their experiences.
Laurie Shawn was one of 3 who spoke to us in July last year about being Chinese expatriates living in Nelson. This month he will bring members of the Nelson Marlborough Chinese Association who will tell us more about being Chinese and being Chinese in New Zealand.
The three will tell us about the China they grew up in, including Xinjiang, and their experiences in New Zealand.
Please remember to let Barbara know by Monday 29 August that you will be coming along so that we have accurate numbers for the meal and enough seating available.
