NZCFS leaders delegation to China, March 2019
Beijing Youxie and Shanghai Youxie combined offer an opportunity for up to 5 NZCFS executive members including branch presidents to spend time in both their cities.
The key purpose will be for NZCFS leaders to get a deeper understanding of what China is- the foundation of Chinese culture and society through to modern policy domestically and internationally. But we will also ensure there is some tourism and fun included in the travel package! Details are yet to be worked out: this is an early indication for branches to consider nominations.
At this stage Beijing will cover 4 nights and 5 days of activity expenses, and Shanghai 3 nights and 4 days there. It is probable that the weekend in between will be at delegates expense, as well as international fares. It is possible that the Deng fund process may provide a subsidy for this initiative, but we would encourage branches of selected delegates to also provide support. We feel that, looking to our future, priority could be given to younger leaders in NZCFS, but not exclusively.
Anticipated dates will be in the period March 3 to 16, to be confirmed.
