Since agreeing in April to put the Branch into recess members have met twice for a Sunday buffet lunch to maintain friendships made over the years and keep in touch. These lunches were both well supported.
The Branch Committee met in August to assess where the Branch was headed.
It was decided to hold a potluck meal at 5pm on Sunday 12 November at 170 Spur Rd to farewell MLA Debbie who returns home to China in December.
The Branch Chinese New Year Banquet has always been well supported and it was agreed to hold another Banquet on Sunday 18 February 2018 at the Golden Palace Restaurant. Ticket price to remain at $25.
Following the Banquet the Committee will meet to discuss a date for a general meeting to decide on the future of the branch.
