This museum contains a stunning collection of artifacts collected by Rewi Alley, and donated to the city of Shandan on his death. They come from surrounding countryside, often found as he explored or farmed areas of land. Only about 1/4 of the collection is on display; a larger museum is being built in 2015, which should enable the entire collection to be displayed, along with more interpretation panels.
