\nWelcome to the opening of the seventh round of the Simon Deng Li Arts
\nand Cultural Exchange Fund.<\/p>\n
\nThe DENG FUND Committee is eager for you\u00a0 to be initiating or
\nconsolidating plans for projects which could be eligible for some
\nfinancial support from the generosity of Honorary Patron, Simon Deng Li MNZM.\n<\/p>\n
\nFor the last six years there have been a range of innovative and
\nexciting plans developed by individual Exec members or Branches. Some of
\nthese have been NZ-based projects, others have involved groups
\ntravelling to China to research aspects of cooperation; all have
\nfurthered friendship, knowledge and understanding between people in
\nChina and NZ. The aims and objectives of our society have been enhanced
\nin ways known and unknown …… the ripples continue to flow out……..\n<\/p>\n
\nGood outcomes are achieved when sponsorship from the DENG FUND is
\naugmented by funding from other sources. With about $40,000 available
\nannually there are a limited number of projects that can be accepted, so
\nit is helpful if applications can expand the effect by involving other
\norganisations for\u00a0 funding.\n<\/p>\n

\nPlease note that the first deadline, for a Concept Plan, is 20 days away. So NOW is
\nthe time for discussion and action in your branches and related forums.
