Welcome to the Christchurch branch of our society. We have approximately 60 branch members as well as a distribution list of about 500, to which we send our monthly newsletter, notification of upcoming events etc.
Member meetings are held 7.30pm on the last Thursday of each month at Upper Riccarton Methodist Church, 3 Brake Street, Upper Riccarton. We always have a keynote speaker, and sometimes a second speaker as well. Non-members of the society are very welcome to come along and enjoy the fellowship of the evening, which is followed by supper.
From time to time we become involved in hosting delegations to Christchurch from various parts of China. As the Rewi Alley story is centred around Christchurch and the surrounding region, this means we assist in delegation visits on quite a regular basis.
