Vale Murray Hoare (Auckland and National Executive)

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Murray Hoare, a former stalwart of Auckland Branch and National Executive who died at Ranfurly Hospital in early June .

Murray  joined us on National Executive for just a a few years

He brought with him a fresh energy and new ideas that moved us forward. His experiences with China were derived from his business entrepreneurship in a cutting edge new technological innovation, and gave clear direction to follow.

Sadly, his time with us was cut short by medical misadventure in 2015 that left him in a wheelchair and having to adapt to a new way of life. Even in this endeavour, he retained his positive outlook towards managing his changed circumstances. A true expression of “you banfa”.

Murray, those of us who had the privilege of working together with you on NZCFS Executive will always remember you fondly, and your legacy remains.
