Lunch with Tauranga Branch

A couple of months ago seven of our members joined the Tauranga Branch for lunch to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. We received a warm welcome and had an enjoyable social afternoon with them. Hopefully we will be able to join them again next year.

On Saturday 29 September 2012 the Rotorua Chinese Association along with the Rotorua Multicultural Association is holding a Moon Festival at the Rotorua Soundshell located on the Lake Front. It starts at 6:30 p.m. finishing at 8:30 p.m.. There will be cultural performances such as traditional dances, Tai Chi and traditional flute playing. Everyone will have the opportunity to taste the traditional Moon Cakes which are always eaten during this important celebration. There will be a $ 2. entry fee. This is an opportunity to join in and participate in other cultures.
