 OTHER NEWS

The Society expresses their deepest heartfelt sympathy to Jan Burbidge for the recent loss of her husband John. We will look forward and welcome her return soon.

Many of our members had a very enjoyable time at the Moon Cake Festival. It was a hugh success with the Soundshell filled with people. The performances were full of colour and lovely to watch. Some of us participated. A video is being posted on the N.Z. China Friendship Societies website www.nzchinasociety.org.nz Then on Monday many of us attended the Mid Autumn Festival Dinner at the Regal Chinese Restaurant held by the International Student Department Wairiki Technical Institute. Many of the international students attended along with the new CEO and the Director of the International Students Dept. and other staff members. Each group of students made a presentation. It has been a very busy few days with these celebrations.
