Improved Educational Results Parallel Mandarin Studies in BOP.

At the recent seminar in Tauranga on the teaching and learning of Mandarin, organised by The New Zealand China Friendship Society, Programme Co-ordinator Laytee George outlined the organisation of Mandarin Programmes in local schools.As a National Curriculum 2007 requirement, all schools are required to offer additional languages to English. Ambassador Xu Jianguo Visits Tauranga.

Tauranga Branch of the New Zealand China Friendship Society certainly appreciated the visit of The Chinese Ambassador Xu Jianguo to Tauranga. 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the Tauranga and Yantai China sister city relationship. To celebrate, Tauranga is holding a New Zealand China week to recognise some of the well known Chinese  cultural and recreation activities.
